Exploring the spaces between life and music
Exploring the spaces between life and music.
An embodied practice exploring the relationships between land, body, improvised voice, movement, rhythm, co-creation and responsive scores and ritual.
About
The Musical Body brings together body, breath, voice, rhythm, music, imagination, our living environment/land within and around us and intention in a living, co-creative practice. Drawing on vocal improvisation, movement, listening, experiential education and musical forms and relational practices, extended vocal techniques, and responsive ritual, participants explore voice in relationship to life itself.
Held in small groups, the practice invites deep listening — inwardly, relationally, and toward place and people — attuning to what wants to emerge. It centeres shared presence, responsiveness, and music-making as a living, relational process.
Camps & Immersions.
The Musical Body comes alive through intimate camps and immersive experiences for small groups of 6–12 participants. These gatherings are playful, spacious, and deeply experiential — shaped by the people, the land, and the moment.
Core practices include:
Embodied voice and rhythm
Movement and vocal improvisation
Experiential musical structures and co-creative emergent ritual
Play, presence, and relationship in the here and now
